The Bolnhurst Stables Trust which was founded in 1986, is an interdenominational Christian charity (registration no. 327398) which has since that time sponsored a number of projects.  Our trustees and senior staff are members of various local churches and respected contributors to the local community.

The Training Project which started over 20 years ago is the longest running of our activities. It has focused on giving practical work experience within a safe environment to different groups of adults with special needs.  Our clients are encouraged to discover their own value and talents and to gain the confidence to fulfil their role in the outside community.

The work includes practical care of six acres of land, which includes woodland, hedges and meadow, growing herbs and wild flowers for selling, environmentally friendly composting and basic building and equipment maintenance.

Over the past few years we have produced an increasing number of our own preserves, greetings cards, gift-wraps, jewellery, candles and a variety of gifts.  The kitchen and craft department is now a substantial part of our vibrant working community.  Discover more about our new programme.
