Volunteering Opportunities

Could you spare any of your time and talents to help on one of our projects? All sorts of jobs need doing, both on the spot and behind the scenes. Your help would be much appreciated.

Volunteers can help with such things as:

  • Working alongside individuals or small client groups to help them achieve their potential.
  • Preparation of craft and other materials.
  • Cooking(preserves), gardening, potting up plants.
  • Maintenance: decorating, DIY, operating machines (e.g. lawnmower, chipper), mending punctures
  • Preparing display and publicity material.
  • Computers, office work

Sales

We are always looking for new outlets to sell our products and often have stalls on local markets and fairs, etc. These are held at various times, often Saturdays.

  • Help setting up and/or manning our small shop at The Centre.
  • Help needed in manning stalls.
  • New ideas for sales.

Please note

  • Volunteers will always be supported by regular staff members.
  • We think we are a friendly and fun group to work with!
  • We would expect you to be in sympathy with the aims of the Centre.
  • All travel and other approved expenses will be reimbursed.
  • We are required to do DBS(previously CRB) checks on most of our volunteers.
