Our Preserves
The Seed Sowers team make a diverse range of preserves
on-site, including marmalades, jams, jellies, and a selection of chutneys.
Whenever possible, we use fruit and vegetables grown right here on our grounds or sourced through generous local donations.
Our 5* hygiene rating means you can buy with confidence.
Preserve Sizes and Labelling
We use hexagonal jars in three sizes with the Ingredients and Best Before Date clearly displayed.
Small - 110 ml
£1.50
Small jars can be made to order, or bought as part of a Duo bag. They are sometimes available in our shop.
Large - 250 ml
£3.50
Unless otherwise stated, this is the default size jar we use.
Gift Collections
A collection made up of 3 jars (medium or large) in a display box or 2 small jars in a cellophane bag. They are a popular choice when you are looking for a gift. They are listed in our Craft collection.
Medium - 170 ml
£2.50
The medium-sized jar is ideal for Jellies and some of our Christmas Preserves.
The jams made in this size are Hedgerow jam, Greengage jam, and Redcurrant & Chilli Jam
Kilner Jar - 1 liter

Our small jars of preserves make great wedding/occasion favours. We are able to provide tailor made favours for your special day. Examples of what we have made before, can be seen on our Special occasions page

Plum Jam

Made from heritage plums grown in our orchard . Best served simply on bread or toast to enjoy the rich flavour
Raspberry Jam

Lovely fruity soft jam made simply with just raspberries and sugar. Perfect on scones and sandwiched between sponges to make a beautiful Victoria Sponge cake
Redcurrant & chilli Jam

*Redcurrants(52%), *Chillies(7%), Ginger, Orange Zest and Juice, Sugar
Tart, fruity and sweet with a delicious warming blend of ginger and chillies
Rhubarb & Ginger Jam

A winning combination; ginger adds a wonderful mellowing warmth to the sharpness of the rhubarb
Strawberry Jam

Ruby red and lusciously sweet strawberry jam is the essence of summer. A treat on hot buttered toast.
Victoria Plum Jam

Made from succulent plums which encapsulate the spirit of summer. Originally named Sharp’s Emperor, it was renamed when Queen Victoria ascended the throne in 1837
